Privacy Policy

As part of the new GDPR legislation that came into force on the 25th May 2018 we, at Celtic Photography, have reviewed our Privacy Policy and Data Protection procedures to ensure that any information regarding you held by us is done so in a secure manner ensuring it is not shared with anyone without your explicit permission. Celtic Photography is committed to preserving the privacy of all visitors to our website, or landing pages used for marketing purposes. Please read the following privacy statement to understand how we use and protect the information you provide to us. By providing your data on this site, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information under the terms of this privacy statement but you are free to have this removed or amended at any time.

Information we collect from you

When you visit, register or order products or services from www.celticphotography.ie you may be asked to provide certain information about yourself such as your name, contact details and credit/debit card information. This information is stored on Pay Pal/Stripe servers and is never shared. We may also collect information about your usage of our website as well as information about you from messages you post to the website and emails or letters you send to us. 


In addition to this data, we also take images of individuals persons, which for the purposes of this legislation are considered data. Images may be taken at the direct request of the Model or his/her agent in which case a signed ‘Model Release Form’ will be obtained from the client or in the case of a child, his/her authorised Guardian. In the case of an organised event, a ‘Crowd Release Statement’ will be posted in a conspicuous place confirming images of individuals may be taken and by entering this space they are consenting to said images being taken.

Use of this Information

We use your information to supply you with goods or services ordered by you to bill you and to contact you about an order. We also analyse information provided by you and others to help us administer, support and improve our business. If you have consented, we may use your information to contact you to tell you about important changes or developments to the website or our services, or to obtain your views on our services. Where you have consented, we may use your information to let you know about other products and services which might be of interest to you. This contact may be by post, telephone, social media or email. If you wish to stop receiving information about other products and services, you can opt out at any time simply by contacting us. 


As owners of the Copyright on all images taken by Celtic Photography and its assigns, we sometimes use images we have taken for promotional purposes on our website and/or social media promotions and marketing. If you specifically do not wish your image to be used for this purpose you may request for us to remove it at any time. This does not affect any prior agreement with clients who have engaged our services to take images on their behalf. In this case you will need to contact them directly to discuss their use of any images provided to them.


The images we shoot, whether that is as a result of a direct enquiry and provision of service to you personally or as a result of you attending an event organised by a third party, are shared with the client only and every effort is made by Celtic Photography to ensure that the client complies with their own GDPR requirements. We store all images on an external Hard-Drive and all security measures are in place to ensure this data is protected. We no longer use Cloud Sharing services ensuring that all images are stored safely in-house. 


After a reasonable length of time, all information and images will be deleted from our systems and external hard-drives, allowing for the consideration of the client. If you wish to have any information or image removed from our database you have the right to do so by confirming which specific image or information you need removing. 


Whilst we do use Photoshop and Lightroom which have Face Recognition capabilities we do not use this feature in any of our systems.

Disclosure to Other People

We will never sell or rent your details to a third party. We may pass aggregate information on the usage of our site to third parties, but this will not include information that can be used to identify you. Unless required to do so by law, we will not otherwise share, sell or distribute any of the information you provide to us without your consent.

IP Addresses

An IP address is a number that is assigned to your computer automatically when you use the internet. When you visit a particular page on our web page our servers log your IP address. We may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our website. Your IP address is also used to help identify you and to gather broad demographic information.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive to identify you as the user of the website. Many internet sites use cookies. Our website uses cookies to keep track of your access to the site. We may also use cookies to deliver contents specific to your interests. You can set your browser preferences to reject all cookies, but this will prevent you from using most customised services and you may have to repeatedly enter log-in information in order to use some services. Cookies make your experience easier by saving your preferences.

Security

We employ security measures to protect your information from access by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage.

Data Retention

We will retain your information for a reasonable period or as long as the law requires. After a reasonable period of time, all data and images will be deleted from our site and/or all cloud based servers and external hard drives.

Changing your Information

You are entitled to see the information we hold about you. The law entitles us to charge you a fee for doing so. The maximum fee we can charge is €6.35. Changes to our Privacy Statement
